To effectively manage our growing network of protected lands, the Bruce Trail Conservancy employs some non-invasive methods to monitor biodiversity across the entire Niagara Escarpment. Remote cameras offer a critical window into these ecosystems, allowing our ecologists to document species presence without human disturbance while simultaneously gathering visual stories that drive donor and public engagement. In support of this dual mission, 18 cameras (two per Club section) were purchased to be installed on BTC lands to both supplement ecological data and provide images for BTC social media posts, which have become an engaging way to demonstrate our impact. With the help of volunteers across all clubs, cameras began to be installed in March and by mid-May all 18 cameras were installed and functioning.
