Trail closure due to Ice Storm Damage

Date: April 2, 2025

The entire Blue Mountains section of the Bruce Trail is temporarily closed due to hazardous conditions caused by the ice storm on March 29-30. This closure includes the main Bruce Trail and all associated side trails between Lavender and Craigleith.

Please note that this is in addition to the similar closure of the Dufferin Hi-Land section further south (Mono Centre to Lavender).

Our Trail Maintenance volunteers are working hard to assess and clear the debris, but for your safety, please avoid this section until further notice. This closure may last a few weeks until our volunteer crews can attend to all the damage.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

As assessment continues, other parts of the Bruce Trail may be temporarily closed. Updates will be noted in the Bruce Trail App and on brucetrail.org/trail_changes.
